The TBC 52RT is used wherever velcro and loop tape are used, eg for protective clothing, medical bandages, bags, etc. It is often very important that the end of the bands is not just cut straight, but gets a rounded shape. The corners of the ribbons, which are radiused, do not sag and fit better into the design of the finished product. Due to rising labor costs, it is also advisable to automatically carry out cutting for velcro and loop tape.

The TBC 52RT has an automatic feed for the strip material. Depending on the cutting length, a speed of 60 to 80 cuts / minute is possible. The strip material can be both cut straight as well as provided with a shape cut. For this change tools are used, with a punching tool forms the cutting shape.

The material is cut using a punching tool, which can process strips up to a maximum width of 70mm. The cutting shape can be individually modeled on the punching tool, so that there are many design options such as arrowheads, rounded tips, radii or other freeforms. Furthermore, it is also possible to design the punching tool as a double tool to simultaneously cut 2 bands and thus increase productivity. The cutting tools are made of HSS steel and therefore have a long service life.

In order to meet different cutting requirements, the punching tool is interchangeable with a few simple steps. Also, the operation is very simple, because it only has to be entered the length and desired number of pieces. Thus, very quickly responding to other requirements such as design changes, without the first pre-produced material must be used up. Due to the very simple operation even smaller quantities can be cut easily and productively. Thus, the stock of finished cut parts can be greatly reduced. In addition to a roll holder, the automatic cutter is also equipped with an auto-stop function and switches off automatically when the material ends.

The TBC 52RT is a compact, portable machine for cutting velcro and loop tape. The small footprint and a 220V connection and the absence of a compressed air connection simplify the choice of location enormously. What was previously only possible with investment-intensive special construction solutions is now a cost-effective extension of the product range for automatic strip lengthening. This makes it particularly interesting for small to medium series, where a flexible but automated cutting solution for Velcro and loop tape is needed.
