The Kobra+1 SS4 is a personal and office strip cut shredder. It has a level-2 security rating. It can shred paper, optical media (CDs/DVDs/Blu-rays), credit cards, paper clips, and staples. You don't need to remove staples or paper clips from the documents, as the Kobra+1 SS4 will easily cut through them. The office shredder also saves you from spending money on accessories. It doesn't need any additional shred waste bags. The waste is collected in a removable waste basket that can be emptied easily. The waste bin has a transparent window, which allows you to monitor the level of shredded waste.
The Kobra+1 SS4 strip cut office shredder features an 'Energy Smart' power management system. If the shredder is left idle, this system automatically places the shredder in standby mode. This reduces power consumption thereby reducing your energy costs.

This is one of the best machine you can get for junk mail considering price. Of course this depends on the thickness and the material in the envelope. Most junk mail should go right through in the envelope. The +1 SS7 would be even a better machine for junk mail. The whole "+" line was designed so that the user can put a bunch of sheets in and walk away. If you have noticed, they are not very fast at 8 or 9 feet per minute but they have high capacities compared to other machines in their class. With other manufacturers' smaller machines the operator will have to stand there and put sheets in a few at a time, wait till they go through and put more in but with the "+" machines, the user can put what they need to shred in the machine and walk away. This makes them the best machines for junk mail. On the top of the high capacity, they also have auto reverse, continuous duty motors and energy smart (auto shut off) which are features normally found in much more expensive machines. If the junk mail envelope is too thick, the machine will auto reverse and the operator will know right away. Hope this helps.
