Widmer WINWTV Time Stamp NASD/OATS Compliant System

The WINWTV is a simple small office system that works on a local office basis. Assuming your computer is synchronized with NIST, WINWTV software downloads the time each minute, and transmits it to the time stamps connected to that computer via the serial port adapter and plug. To operate just load the WINWTV software into your computer (WIN95, 98, ME) that is synchronized to the NIST atomic clock. Attach adapter key to the serial port, plug in the time stamp to the adapter key and 110V 60HZ outlet. On the zero second of the next minute your time stamp will be activated and synchronized with your computer. Each minute thereafter the software will update all the connected time stamps. Up to 30 machines to one computer.

Under NASD Rule 6953 member firms that record orders and report OATS transactions must have their computer systems synchronized with the NIST atomic clock and their time stamps synchronized. WINWTV directly connects the time stamps with the synchronized computer and feeds the computer time to the stamp each time.

It is designed to utilize the time in a network time protocol server and distribute the time to all time stamp machines connected to trader computers on the network.

The Widmer WINWTV Trade Validator System for NASD Traders OATS Compliant System is:
  • designed for small local offices as a phase III solution
  • simple to use and install
  • cost effective and expandable
  • accurate, it mirrors your synchronized computer time

The Wide Area Network (WAN) System, used the B-4 Master Clock that connects to your Master server's main hub. It down loads the NIST synchronized time from your main server, converts it to our micro burst time signal that is broadcast over your system and is received in your computers, by the software. It then transmits to the time stamps connected to that computer via the serial port adapter and plug.

Independent Master Clock System that self synchronizes with the NIST atomic clock via an analog phone line one to four times a day. The MCC-B3 enhanced combined with a repeater box, CAT5 cable, and patch panels can handle a full building system with hundreds of time stamps and digital wall clocks.

Clocks print year, month, day hours, minutes and seconds and are accurate to +/- 2 seconds per day.
